The staff at Hocking Valley Canoe Livery wanted to make a few changed during the off season. We initially wanted to redo our gift shop and add pictures into the lobby area. Although putting in a gift shop is a good idea, we got a little ambitious and decided to redo everything! On April 1st 2010, the project began to redesign the entire outlook of the canoe livery. This project has been broken down into four phases; 1. Repaint the entire canoe livery. 2 Put wood siding on the building. 3 Add and redo the gift room. 4. Build kayak racks for all the new kayaks. So when you visit us the year do not be surprised if you do not recognize the building! Check out our website for more details. Hope to see you soon!
1. repaint all the walls of the canoe livery.
The colors picked were tan and brick red around the trim. The colors definitely "liven" the building up.
2. Put wood siding around the canoe livery.
This project has taken the most time. We put white pine siding around the entire building. The gives us the ideal rustic look.
3. Add a gift shop
4. Build kayak racks for all the new kayaks
