NEW KAYAKS FOR THE 2010!

It is that time of year again. It is time to put together all the feedback from our customers in terms of deciding which kayaks to order for 2010. If the trend of the last two years has taught us anything is that kayaking is a growing sport. More and more people prefer to go into water sports solo. While there are solo canoes available, they do not come close in design flexibility and options. For the most part canoes have stayed constant over the 30 last years. Outfitter canoes continue to maintain the same basic components, two seats, a thwart, yoke, and plenty of room for storage. While one can buy into the concept of “If it is not broke do not fix it” there is certain an element of anxiousness in waiting for kayak manufacturers, Old Town, Jackson, We-no-nah and others in releasing their new products. In purchasing kayaks for 2010 it was important to identify the characteristics that our customers want in a kayak rental. Without a doubt four aspects stand out, comfortability, spaciousness, maneuverability, and uniqueness. Simply put customers want a big kayak that looks good while still being comfortable and easy to handle. The four models ordered The Nalu, The Vapor, The Riveria, and The Daytripper. The Nalu - NEW!

As for as uncommon kayaks you have not seen anything close to the Nalu! It is similar to a paddleboard which has become extremely popular on the west coast. We are one of the only outfitters in the east to offer the paddling expereince of the Nalu- — a sit-on-top that you can stand up and paddle! The Vapor


Charateristic: Spacious, Comfortable, and ManeuverabilityWe introduced the Vapor kayak last year. This model responded with great reviews. Everyone from all ages and skill levels enjoyed the Vapor. It was an easy decision to bring back the Vapor for 2010. This sporty kayak offers a stable, efficient and comfortable ride. Our Vapor goes way beyond the basics with features, while the Vapor 10XT takes it a step further. Either way, with features like this, getting a workout is as easy as grabbing your water bottle and heading to your nearest body of water.






The Riveria

Jackson Kayak is known for ultra comfort, durability and performance... and this kayak takes all of that to a new level. This new addition to our brand is the perfect kayak for those looking for something stable, at a great price, but probably most important to this type of kayak... COMFORT!

The Daytripper
